T-Mobile G1 Blaze On the Horizon With T-Mobile HSPA+, Original G1 Reaches it's End of Life

It is a sad day for Google as the first android branded phone, The T-Mobile G1, otherwise known as the HTC Dream, is dead. The phone never gained much traction for android, with it's thick chin, slow processing, and a reasonably small screen. It gave android the first sign of emerging, however, and spurred on later products like the DROID, the Google Nexus one, and now, the EVO 4G and the DROID X, android has gained popularity at a scary pace. But new signs for android are emerging. The G1 Blaze might be the first phone with HSPA+, a new network with download speeds up to 23 MBPS, more than doubling WiMax speeds topping out at about 10. This starts a new first for any mobile phone, as android has been many firsts.
