Finally, I have been waiting for this news. Verizon Wireless just announced that the Motorola Droid will be getting Android 2.2., or Froyo, next week. This is big news for Droid owners as their phone was starting to fall behind of the rest of the pack, with a smaller processor than these new 1GHZ Snapdragon, OMAP 3630, and Hummingbird CPUs. This is a big announcement for Motorola as the previous 2.1 upgrade ended up 3 months later than expected.
